Full Time Stable Hand/Ground Worker

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Stable Hand / Ground Worker to join our boutique racing stable.

This is a full-time position working alongside our team to help with the daily care of our racehorses and the general running and maintenance of the property.

The role will include:
– Daily care and handling of racehorses
– Feeding, watering and general stable duties
– Mucking out boxes and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
– Grooming and preparing horses
– Turning horses out and bringing them in
– General ground work and property maintenance
– Mowing, weed-eating and maintaining lawns and paddocks
– Fencing repairs and general farm maintenance
– Washing trucks, floats and equipment
– Helping with general tasks around the racing stable as required

The ideal person will:
– Have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
– Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
– Have good attention to detail and take pride in their work
– Be physically fit and comfortable with hard, outdoor work
– Be confident and experienced handling horses
– Have previous experience in a racing stable, equestrian environment or farming
– Be able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
– Have a current driver’s licence

Previous experience with racehorses is preferred, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
